Control loop
Each control automation is based on a simple control loop. Even complicated tasks may be reduced to such a control loop.
Position infeed rail
Starting point is the actual position of the infeed rail.
Sensor
An infrared sensor captures the actual value of the web selvedge contact-free.
Positions controller
The controller compares the actual value of the web edge with the defined target value and sends an appropriate correction signal to the actuator.
Actuator
The actuator corrects the position of the infeed rail. Depending on the application the correction will either be made by a spindle-type actuator or by a rack-type actuator.
